Estimates for planning, not accounting. Is profit the weakest link? Diagnose stage 7.
How it's calculated
- Net price = price without VAT (if VAT is included).
- Referral fee = price × referral %. Returns = net price × returns %.
- Profit before ads = net price − referral fee − FBA fee − landed cost − other costs − returns.
- Break-even ACoS = profit before ads ÷ price.
- Profit after ads = profit before ads − price × ACoS × share of units from ads.

What is break-even ACoS?
The ad cost share of sales at which an ad-driven sale makes zero profit. It equals your profit per unit before advertising divided by the price. If your ACoS is above it, every sale from ads loses money.
Why does VAT or GST matter outside the US?
In Europe, the UK, Japan, Australia, India, the Middle East and most other marketplaces the price shown to customers includes VAT or GST, which isn't yours. Choose the marketplace and the calculator fills in the standard rate (change it if your category has a reduced one), removes the tax before working out profit, and still charges Amazon's referral fee on the full price.
Where do I find my FBA fee?
Use Amazon's Revenue Calculator or the fee preview in Seller Central. Fees depend on size, weight, category and marketplace, and Amazon updates them, so we don't guess them for you.
What is TACoS?
Total ACoS: ad spend as a share of all sales, not only ad-driven ones. With ACoS of 30% and 40% of units sold through ads, TACoS is about 12%. If TACoS rises over time, sales are increasingly bought rather than earned.
Profit is one link in the chain
